Our mission

The Dream Community Foundation (DCF) is a registered charity committed to enhancing the well-being of individuals, families, and neighborhoods across Canada through innovative programming and strategic partnerships. Founded in 2022, DCF was supported by a $25 million seed contribution from Dream employees. This ongoing support drives the Foundation’s mission to both strengthen existing community initiatives and develop its own impactful programs.

Backpack Day at Camp Weston

Our initiatives prioritize fostering connections and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Through our “Eat Together,” “Play Together,” and “Grow Together” pillars, we aim to create thriving, healthy, and vibrant communities that unite individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures. When individuals feel a sense of belonging and connection, communities thrive.

Eat together

Utilizes the power of food to bring people together, foster community bonding, provide access to food for those needing extra support and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Play together

Inspires and champions community members to connect through play, the arts, cultural celebrations, summer camps and sports to improve overall well-being and fostering connections that unite communities.

Grow together

Provide resources and support, such as mentorship, education, and career development, to help community members reach their full potential.

With the Dream Community Foundation, we’re committed to building inclusive, thriving communities. By working alongside residents across the country, we can create meaningful, long-lasting impact that goes beyond traditional real estate development, enriching the lives of individuals, families, and neighborhoods for years to come.

Dream Scholars

With a strong commitment to supporting education and access, Dream Community Foundation has launched its scholarship program. There are two objectives for this program (1) Invest in access to education for students in need of financial support. (2) Invest in the next generation of those entering the real estate industry. Since 2023, we have invested in 24 scholarships.

Camp Weston

In partnership with Play Forever, DCF co-created Camp Weston in 2023 and since then has provided 13 weeks of summer camp activities, arts & crafts and educational opportunities for 82 children at no-cost to families.

Zibi and National Arts Centre Dance Series

With the National Arts Centre partnership, we created a 5-part series where residents and community members in our Zibi Ottawa community participated in learning new dance styles such as House Dance, Tango, and Héritage Colombien. This gave community members a chance to socialize, stay active, experience diverse cultural dances, and provided paid opportunities and a new platform for dance troupes

Saskatoon

Mom and Baby Yoga

Mommy & Baby Yoga classes were held once a week for a duration of 16 weeks, offering a supportive and nurturing environment for new mothers and their babies. With over 100 participants having joined the program, these sessions focused on promoting both mental and physical well-being. Through gentle yoga poses, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices, the program helps mothers regain strength, alleviate stress, and improve overall mood.

Culinary Training Program

In partnership with Frontlines, in 2023 & 2024 DCF supported “Frontburners” a culinary training program with 73 participants. Participants were unemployed young adults (18-29) facing employment barriers, offering hands-on skills in the food industry along with individualized job placement support. The program helped participants develop essential culinary and workplace skills, and 20 were successfully hired into permanent positions, marking a significant step toward their long-term career growth.
